Printing Passport Photos — FAQs
How many passport photos fit on a 4x6 inch sheet?
A standard 4x6 inch (10x15 cm) photo paper fits 6 passport size photos (3.5x4.5 cm each) in a 3x2 grid with small gaps and cut lines. This is the cheapest way to print — most photo studios charge for a single 4x6 print.
How many passport photos fit on an A4 sheet?
An A4 sheet (21x29.7 cm) fits up to 30 passport size photos in a 5x6 grid. Choose fewer copies if you want bigger margins for easier cutting.
What paper should I print on?
Use glossy or matte photo paper (200-270 GSM) for best results. If printing at home on plain paper, select "high quality" in your printer settings; for exam applications a plain-paper print is usually acceptable if the photo is clear.
Will the printed photo be exactly 3.5 x 4.5 cm?
Yes — the sheet is generated at exactly 300 DPI, so each photo measures 3.5 x 4.5 cm on paper. When printing, make sure "Fit to page" / "Scale" is OFF (set scale to 100%) so the printer does not resize the sheet.
Can I print photos of two different people on one sheet?
Currently the tool repeats one photo. Generate and download one sheet per person, or print two 4x6 sheets.
